Look at all the ticket sites. But I agree with Thomas V - a direct flight from Glasgow to Washington, DC (Dulles or Reagan airports) will be the cheapest option and have the most flexibility in scheduling. (Though London to DC would be even better, I think.) Then, like Tom says, take the bus, train, or rent a car.

Did you mean Charlottesville in the state of Virginia? I'm not aware of a Charlottesville in the state of West Virginia.

You can catch a bus or train to Charlottesville, Virginia, from DC for about $20-$35, and it'll take about 2.5 to 3.5 hours to get there depending upon the service/route/stops.

That's a nice little college town, hope you have a good time. Try getting out to the Blue Ridge mountains and Shenandoah National Park while you're there.

Dulles airport is about 30 miles west of DC, and would be the easier airport to get out of to Charlottesville if you're going to drive. Reagan airport is in DC or just over the border in Virginia (I forget which) and would be easier to use if you were trying to hook up with other forms of mass transit.

If you can't get a direct from Glasgow to DC, and your connection in USA is in Newark, NJ, you could consider taking a bus, car, or train (AMTRAK) from there to DC and Charlottesville. I don't know if that would make things any cheaper though - just an option. It's about a 5 hour drive from Newark to DC.

Washington is just a big and all know town and is definitely worthy deliver a vacation or perhaps visit that city. with hotelbye you will discover more. One of the symbols of Washington and the whole America is the popular White House, the official house of the President of the United States. The house of each leader except George Washington, it absolutely was formerly created by James Hoban in 1792, and after being burnt down by British makes in 1814 was renewed in 1818. Even though tours of the inside offering the East, Blue, Green, and Red Areas; the Ballroom; and the State Dining Room must certanly be reserved well in advance, every tourist to Washington may wish to see that renowned building, at the least from the outside. Nearby to the White House are the intricate 1833 Greek Revival Treasury Building and the 1871 Executive Office Building, one of the most impressive old government buildings in Washington.

It's possible if you fly Washington and then take a bus (about 120 miles so not too bad).

Awesome win for the Mountaineers. I really didn't expect it to be honest, I just didn't see West Virginia's defense stepping up enough to topple Kentucky. I was obviously wrong though. West Virginia's three point shooting got them the win though, they were automatic in the first half, and Muzzulo in the second was awesome when driving to the rim. Kentucky put up a good fight, but West Virginia just got the upset. Great to see, and what a Final Four!

Man...I don't know why in hell's name you'd want to leave Glasgow for West Virginia, but the guy who said "Expedia" for $550USD was spot-on...make sure you bring a gas mask with you to breathe the foul air there. Yuck!

you could try going to the airport and just wait for a stand by (if someone don't turn up for there pre-booked flight you can take there place) it will cost you at least half the price but also may mean your be waiting a while tho..

good luck
