your current insurer will send you a document detailing that you have one years on claims discount
If you don't supply that to your new insurer then they are not going to give you the discount that you would have got ....so get on that phone

If you are changing companies when your insurance needs renewing, the company you are with now will send you a renewal notice telling you how much no claims bonus you are entitled to. Take this to your new company. If you are changing insurance companies at a different time then tell your new insurance company the details of your old insurance and they will contact the old company to check your status. Hope this helps

Your new Insurance company will accept the renewal notice (the letter from your current insurers that tells you your insurance is running out and you should renew it) as proof.
If you haven't got a renewal notice you can call your current insurers and ask them to send poof of no claims.

Your current insurer will send you a renewal reminder if due. This will show your earned no claims. Send it to your new insurers. If you haven't received a renewal contact your insurance company and ask for your no claims information.

What your renewal forms say depends on the state you live in. The company itself will be able to provide you with a "letter of experience" (all states) which will show the lenth of time, vehicles, drivers, and losses.

They will take your word & then check you out.

If they find out you told the truth there is no problem.
