the Arabic word for mankind is "Insaan"... this word derived from two words which mean: 1) one who is dependent and 2) one who forgets. Therefore, human beings need each other to survive as we are made to depend on each other... and since we tend to forget things, we need to remind each other of the good or warn each other of the bad. in Islam, we believe Arabic is a divine language, the language of heaven... therefore the words in Arabic are quite literally from God.
