Depends on what job you go after, but yes you can still get a decent job and tell you why. Over the years prsions have developped a system to encourage those with felonies that are not so severe. There are severe felonies and light felonies.
For instance Wreckless Driving is a felony.
Fleeing and Eluding is a felony.
These are called light though, they're serious there light,
Murder, Rape..ect are severe.

In any aspect as you call it. a Felony is a felony, but they are rates to the dgree of its offense.
So if your rated lower and get a College degree while in prison, you can get a decent job and stil fucntion and become a valuabnle asset to society and I believe everyone needs that chance to change.
Unfotunately for some in prison their convictions are so severe that it is alsmost impossible for them to land a decent job after spending 30 years in prison. They become instituionalized and some are doomed for life and this is proiblem that exhists todat.

If you cannot find someone willing to give you a second chance you might want to think of going into business for yourself, look into classes on staring a business at a local college, or check out the small business administration website http://www.sba.gov/ . In time if you do well you might be able to give someone convicted of a felony the second chance they need.

Apply for a job, be honest, when you get the job be sure and show them what a great worker you are. It's hard, but doable.
