I make mine with finely chopped onion, a bit of chopped tomato (tinned variety), a couple of eggs to combine the mixture, plently of salt and pepper and a bit of chilli and garlic, mixed all together and grilled. If you fry it remember to use LOTS of oil because, like you've found out, they stick!

My favourite burger recipe ever is Jamie Oliver's from his Dinner's book.
Mix in some fried chopped onion with the beef, some breadcrumbs, some grated parmesan, a large spoon of english mustard, some crushed coriander seeds, salt and pepper and 1 egg. Mix together, shape into burgers and then cover in more breadcrumbs. To stop them sticking to the pan, place on greaseproof paper and refrigerate for at least an hour before cooking. Make sure they're cooked all the way through before serving - truly the best ever.

Blazing Burgers
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon Creole or Cajun seasoning
4 roasted Anaheim chili peppers, fresh or canned
4 slices (1 ounce) pepper jack cheese
4 hamburger buns
4 lettuce leaves
4 slices tomato
4 slices red onion
Preparation:
To prepare burgers, divide the meat into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Combine the salt, pepper and Creole or Cajun seasoning, then sprinkle the mixture evenly over the 4 patties. Grill the burgers until nearly cooked to desired level. Top each patty with a chili pepper, followed by a slice of cheese. Cover the grill until cheese melts and burgers are cooked to desired level. Serve patties on buns and garnish with lettuce, tomato and red onion.

For simple I just add either good seasons salad dressing or onion soup (dry packets before oil and/or water) to 1-2 lbs of ground beef. For the good seasons one I use monteray jack cheese & for the onion soup one I "nuke" a can of brown gravy with a can of sliced mushrooms added for topping. Onion and/or seeded buns are best with both. Then of course a big kosher dill pickle slice to the side. There's lots of ways to fix them but I've found these 2 are the most popular. Gourmet taste with little effort. lol! Also I use Black Angus ground beef as this seems to be the moistest. Plus if it's sticking that bad to the pan your heat is too high. Burgers aren't meant for flash frying unless over a campfire.

I add Worchester sauce and Lipton Onion Soup mix and a 1/8 cup of cold water to each pound of ground beef. The water helps to keep the meat juicy and the other two ingredients help to flavor it. I also add a little bit of unseasoned meat tenderizer to the raw meat too.
Before you put the burgers in the pan you might want to spray some none stick coating into the pan so the meat won't stick.

Easy and tasty but different. Add dry onion soup mix to the beef. then just fry. If you are using a lean beef, put a little vegtable shortening in the pan first or spray with cooking spray.
