Cradle cap is common. The best thing to do is change baby shampoos. Get a little olive oil(available at pharmacies) warm it up in hot water, massage into babies head, leave overnight and use a comb to comb out the next morning. Wash hair and repeat until all cradle cap is removed

I would put olive/vegetable oil on the scalp just before he goes to bed at night and then wash the hair in the morning - this usually helps.
If it does not go see the gp as there is a baby eczema which looks like cradle cap. The GP will either prescribe something suitable or refer to a dermatologist.

cradle cap will spread to the forehead and eyebrows. it will go on its own but a little baby oil massaged in usually helps it along

we had the same problem with our little boy. It is very common. The skin on the scalp is over working. our skin does the same thing, however we generally get rid of dead skin fairly quickly. our docter told us to peel it off with a comb. I know it sounds painful, but we did it very slowly and their was no bleeding. It hasnt come back. We also use a very mild shampoo, which has helped. your docter can prescribe a onitment called Diprosone scalp lot 0.05%30ml bottle. We didnt use it because it never came back after the peeling method. Good luck

yes. my little girl had cradle cap pretty bad too. all you have to do is after you give him a bath put some baby oil on a baby comb and gently comb through it. it works really well and it won't hurt him. not all of it will come off but most of it will. don't be alarmed if some of his hair comes out with it and don't worry that doesn't hurt him either. my daughters hair would always come out while doing it and my niece always had clumps come out and never seemed to bother either of them. don't freak out though it will grow back lol.

Try a product called alpha-keri oil. Its gentle enough to use on his face and head. I started using it because my son had bad infantile eczema but i also found it cleared up his cradle cap within a week of gently massaging it on the area.

You need to speak to your health visitor or GP to see if it is cradle cap. However, if it is, you can gently rub olive oil into his scalp before washing - this will get rid of it in a couple of weeks. Good luck.
