Is this whole 'lets get married young' thing simply a fad or is cupid being ridiculously generous lately? Personally - I am all for love and marriage and I do think that childhood sweethearts are a beautiful thing. However, I also think that they are a RARE thing. I am huge on soul searching and at 22; I am still fully entrenched in my own little world of self discovery and independent growth (quite a rare thing, where I come from!). I just really want to know if I am sadly, part of a dying breed. Seriously – What is the rush? I really don’t understand…I’m *lostdownhere*.

I had also pondered the same question, as I am personally soul searching about myself and i am only 21. But i feel that i must go through learning and loving myself, before loving somebody who will be my soulmate. I think you are answering your own question and just want to know what people think. But yes, one must love onself before loving another and if they do not do so, they usually end up in immature and unsatisfying relationships, because they don't know themselves deeply enough to make the right decisions. I'd say keep doing what you are doing and don't let others young relationships interfere with your own personal process. I don't think these young relationships last, because simply people change. One needs to grow emotionally and intellectually, not just finishing college and high school to really find a successful relationship.

The age most kids move out of home is 18-21 right? If they finish school and stuff.
They are used to having people who love them, and who they love back around them.
Even if they are near their parent(s) and family.. its not the same as living with them, so therefore they crave/need/want to have the love around them that they are used too.
Either that or they are looking for their sweetheart, because they dont know what else to do.
I'm guessing, I don't know. That how I'll probaly be like.
