I'm a Christian.. and I believe in all the things that a good Christian was taught to believe.. BUT, is it wrong for me to also believe that people of other faiths are going to heaven (or whatever good place their faith allows)? I mean, in the end.. every religion in the world has a god, and in the end, every religion preaches the same things.. don't kill, don't adulter... blah blah blah.. SO.. is it wrong for me to think that we're ALL going to go to the same place when we die.. and that there are MANY religions that are going to get you to that good place??

It isn't wrong of you but I am sure many Christians would say that your view isn't Christian. I believe all paths are valid as well but then again my faith tells me this. I firmly believe that all the names and images for the Divine are true, they are just a facet of the gem that is the true Divine and we all should be allowed to follow where we decided to go as long as it harms none.

All paths lead to the same place, it is just the scenery along the way that differs.

You can believe any thing you want to believe, i mean it cant be WRONG for you to believe it, like whatever rocks your boat.

Any way I agree with you, e.g. Muslims believe in Jesus and many of the same prophets Christians believe in they just don't think he was son of god and they believe that Mohammed was the great prophet even though Christians dont
So I think that really we are believing in more or less the same God but in a different way. And we will all get to heaven if we deserve to.

WE really need to work out our own salvation. Many who think themselves Christians and reason themselves to be saved will not be there.Others who are not of our religion may well be there. But I assure you that none will be there for being righteous under the law. Do you understand the atonement of Jesus Christ? Do you think it was all in vain? None will be there but for the atonement Christ provided. It is not for me to judge any man but this is the truth that no one goes to the Father but through the Son. There is only one God and no other God can save you. It is by his mercy and not our righteousness. No man will be found righteous under the law all have sinned and fallen short of God and the wages of sin is death. All of that said I truly believe there will be many from many faiths but none because they think themselves righteous under the law. It will definitely be because they have repented and because Christ made the way for them.

There is only one way and that is by Jesus Christ!

John 14:6 Jesus said this,"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me".

So as a true Christian there are not many paths that lead to God the Father, only one, and that is by Jesus Christ.

Aww, you're sweet. Think of it this way - You have Jesus as your saviour and your guide to heaven. Your friends of the other faiths have other guides that will also lead them to heaven.
Most Christians will argue that Christ is the only "guide" in the path to heaven. That's when you need to distinguish between politics and religion.

No, I don't believe it is wrong. After all, if you think that people won't go to heaven just because they were born somewhere where they don't practice this religion, that isn't really a trully Christian though... Is it??

the problem with that is Christ said "i am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through me" therefore not everyone will go to heaven only those that believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins and rose again on the third day a couple of the people that answered you said that its not right to judge well there is a difference between judging and spreading the truth which is if you don't believe that Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead on the third day and that Christ is god than your not saved

A lot of people will tell you that it's wrong because that's what their faith tells them. I say you can believe whatever you want to. Faith is a very personal thing. That's why it blows my mind how much bad is done in the world in the name of religion. Salt n Peppa...the 80's rap group...had an awesome lyric "there's only one true judge and that's God...so chill, and let my Father do His job."
