I believe that this is true and it is even if you are a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, Pagan... whatever you are... doing good unto others should be 2/3 of the message good unto you 1/3. But that is my humble opinion.

Weather is volunteering for community related activities, helping the elderly, the sick or donating food, medicine, time or clothing! Religion without works is dead.

Respectfully yours,
Muslimah Forever

I believe that FAITH without works is dead because God's Word says it is so.
James 2:24--"Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only."
James 2:26--"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."
James 2:17--"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone."
James 2:14--"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?"

Many think that believing is enough, but as the Bible states, it is not. When you read the book of Acts, you will see how the apostles had many works that went along with their faith.
Jesus was the best example of performing works along with faith.
We all need to follow his example and the example of his faithful apostles.

Actually, the Scripture says, "FAITH without works is dead", meaning that with no honest outward expression or physical effort put into a ministry of some sort, it begins to appear as if ones faith is merely being worn on their sleeve.

I have to correct you but FAITH without work is dead. If you have faith to the living GOD then you believe and if you believe in GOD then you follow what GOD told/command you to do. And this faith and believe will bear fruits into works or action. And that is what we call the fruits of the holy spirit. And all this things will give glorification to GOD.

religion with or without deeds/works is yet teaching knowledge of god ,works are the end result of trying to please god,
the pleasing for the helping of neighbour for gods sake is higher works.
there are many levels of works good/bad ,repayment /retributional,corrective ,preventitive , servile works ,as many reasons as the works, but religion is information /histry/ sacred/revered/ predictive/prophetic
works may be a higher result but often religious beliefs lay the base/foundation ,reason , will and purpose.
religion is alive of its self ,reflecting the thoughts of this life and the life herafter
but deeds are the works of religious reasoning.

- It is written, it's death without Christ, whom the Father Himself Glorified, receive your spiritual birth from the Son entering the heart or you are not Redeemed, the sin remains upon you & although your heart beats, & your up and walking, your spiritually dead. Cause you've never received your spiritual birth from Jesus the Christ the Son of God, nor is your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life . . . This I believe . . . respectfully . . .

“Thus also, faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

“What does it profit, my brethren, if some-one
says he has faith but does not have works? Can
faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and desti-tute
of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Depart
in peace, be warmed and filled,’ but you do not give
them the things which are needed for the body, what
does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not
have works, is dead.”

Yes, as Muslims we must be doing good deeds for the intention of pleasing God. We must not be neglectful of daily prayers. So that is the best deed.

Peace Be With You

Remember this hadith

Narrated 'Abdullâh bin Mas'ûd [radhi-yAllâhu 'anhu]: I asked Allâh's Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] , "O Allâh's Messenger! What is the best deed?" He replied, "To offer the Salât (prayers) at their early stated fixed times."
