try ebay or carboot sales. the 1970s kenwood chef is an amazing machine. I have an orange one and the white standard one. the one that comes with the stainless steel bowl was the more expensive model but i think that is the only difference. never put the tools in the dishwasher though they seem to react to the salt

Have yourself tested for Von Williabrands Disease, a genetic free bleeding disease - actually more of a syndrome - and the most mild type of Hemophilia (the only one women get). 5% of the population has it and they don't know until oddities like this occur. I have it, and have dealt with what I call "hell days" for my entire life. "Hell days" are the period days with clots like you describe, and no tampon nor pad can contain them. It worsened during menopause (yes, worsened) - and I wear black pants ALL THE TIME, just in case. LOL, there are worse things, but it is a simple test, and I heartily recommend it.

I was looking for one too - found tonnes on Ebay. My mum has had one of the blue industrial sized ones since 1975, still used and in perfect working order!

I still use mine.. its more of an 1980s version, but still brilliant as ever.
sometimes wish it would die, so i could get a sparly new one!
