Sounds like you are beautiful as is.... Why change that? If you lighten your hair, you will lose the quality. Hair lightening opens the hair cuticle (outermost layer of hair) and disperses and releases the cortex (all inside including your hair's natural pigment). The cuticle never fully closes again, causing permanent damage. Why not try doing some highlights to start to add just a bit of blonde, and see how you feel, and if this is a decision you are willing to make. Highlights can be toned to any shade of blonde you choose. I would do a deep honey blonde. Anything to light, will be too much contrast with your natural shade. Doing some highlights, you get the best of both worlds.. You keep the health of your hair AND get to see yourself with some blonde. Also, highlights are almost no committment, as they can be easily covered simply by glazing your hair (demi permanent no ammonia color). Good luck! Hope this helps

Dying it will not make it worse if you a willing to spend a little more money on caring for your hair and buy professional products from your salon. Alot of people will pay 200 to get their hair colored and then want to use shampoo and conditioner on it that is two dollars at a drug store. The difference is that the cheaper products only coat the cuticle of the hair, as where pro. products actually penetrate the cuticle. I would also make sure I went to a pro to get the work done. And I would not color my entire head blonde either, this would create such mirror shock that even if it looked better you would not like it. I would start with some carmel highlights (which is like 3 shades lighter than your natural color) that would just warm up the look you already have. And if you dont like it you can always change it. I think it would look good and warm up your complexion.

PLEASE don't go blonde! I'm naturally blande and would give anything to have lovely dark hair. Blonde is so overrated, and in my opinion, there's far too many 'blondes' these days. Be different and keep your natural beauty rather than becoming just another blonde clone.
There are some dyes which claim to nourish your hair, but ultimately none of them do it any good. I have a few friends with dyed blonde hair, and every one of them complains of it being really dry and frizzy, or even like straw! And that's certainly not a good look!
If you do decide to go blonde, please choose a really natural looking shade (a nice golden blonde - honey or caramel perhaps?) rather than the bleach blonde look that most people seem to go for.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

You have dark eye brows mmm are you hinking of leaveing them dark, you haven't said why you are going to take this plunge, rather than doing it and then not liking it, have you thought about having high lights put in first so that you can get use to it before you go all the way.If you dye your hair blond i believe that the hair is bleached which will leave it dry, and what happens when your roots come through and you can't afford to get your hair done.It won't look good. Think again before you do this to your self you deserve better

U have to be careful when going from one bold colour to another.
If you have very dark eyebrows then your Blonde hair will look dyed. And you have to be careful because sometimes blonde can look very cheap. Not all blonde but some can especially if your hair is bad conditon blonde will make all the split ends stand out more.

being a hairdresser my self i can first of all tell you you sound beautiful as it is but everyone wants a change if you were to lighten your hair i would recomend carmel colours as they wont take away the colour from your skin as you have really dark eyebrows and light skin i would honestly disagree with going blonde as you are more than likely to suit dark colours better but it will damage your hair quite a bit regardless of which product is used to lighten your hair as your stripping the colour out your cuticles open on each strand of hair this can cause the hair to loose condition and may even cause breakage you would need to take extra care of you hair if you do decide to go blonde my favourite shampoo and conditioner for blonde is tigi honey and oatmeal its a deep mosturizing product and smells delish good luck in what ever you do and remember if you do decide to go ahead with it go to a proffesionall hairdresser that you know and trust

My friend went from brown to platinum, she has very dark eyebrows and she looks gorgeous. Since your hair quality right now is excellent, your hair should still feel healthy as blonde, it'll just feel slighly more dry, course, and textured. I think you should try it for fun. I just went from blonde to dk brown to lt blonde again w/out any noticible damage. seriously my hair feels great despite what all my friends said would happen (they said my hair would fall out - well, it didnt!). Why not have some fun w/ your hair, it's just color!
My biggest advice - go to a good/professional colorist!

If you want to change your color, ultimately it is your decision. If you do want to go through with going blonde, the best thing to do is see a professional, especially one that uses Matrix products. The best lightener is called V-Light from Matrix. It minimizes damage and lightens dark hair to a about a medium to light blonde shade, but certainly not platinum. You will have to have a toner (a shade that closes the hair shaft and seals in the color). I would say with your complexion, stay with a toner that is a medium beige or golden blonde.

I went from dark blonde to light and I hate it. Why not try a medium brown, or a toffee colour? You will lose all the pretty shine if you bleach your hair. I yearn for darker hair but alas I am destined to be dark blonde :(

i have the same complexion and hair colour- and would never GO blonde as it would make me look like a ghost- but i would really like to! i suggest a medium brown colour- with several shades of blonde highlights- this will make the transformation more subtle. if you want to go blonde straight away make it a blonde/brown colour- never go platinum/bleach blonde unless you have another darker colour too. hope this information helps!
