Though patron is one of best known and popular brands, other great tequilas are Herradura, Don Julio, and Cabbo Wabbo.
Also it'd help if you clarified what your price range is, and whether you prefer blanco, anejo, or respoda. Also I listed a website that has ratings and prices for tequilas. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Jimmy Buffett has his own brand and so do many other Celebs. Cabo Wabo. And then you have to specify what color tequila. I like Gold, others like white. Cuervo 1800 isn't bad. I consider good tequila any that goes down smooth and doesn't give me a headache. There are a lot from Mexico, that are cheap and great.

Depends on your taste preference. I don't care for the smokey/woody tequilas out there. I like mainly reposados not anejos. My personal fav is Correlajo. Happy drinking!

Check http://www.itequila.org/besttequilas.htm for a general idea, but it will mostly come down to personal taste/value.
The best tequila comes from small scale growers and is not exported but again that's personal opinion.
