Andrew...
I sincerely apologize that you have the impression that those of you serving in Afghanistan are somehow less important than those serving in Iraq. You are not. I am as guilty as anyone for focusing on the men and the women serving in Iraq. Iraq is such a political hot bed and I guess some times I have tunnel vision. I am sorry.
Andrew, you and your comrades are every bit as important to me as any other soldier serving anywhere in the world. I would bet my life that all Americans who care about our soldiers feel the same way.
We have missions to complete in both Iraq and Afghanistan and men and women doing their utmost to complete those missions. Thank you for the reality check. It won't happen again.
Thank you Andrew... For Everything.
Tammy

Join the crowd. People forget about 9/11 so quickly. Terroism is world wide now. I say pull all our troops out of the Middle East, then in a couple of years, when they pull another 9/11, the politicians will all blame each other for pulling the troops out so early. Then the US will probably go back again. I think people forget that what would have happened if we had not invaded and toppled Saddam. Alqueda would have been planning another attack on the US. Their cells are broken up. But for me, a vet, keep up the good work.

well it an't Bush OR Blair!!!
ALSO.. it must be remembered that the REAL conflict against terrorism today is in AFGHANSTAN .. NOT Iraq as the media would have you all believe. All the media reports have taken the spotlight and the rightful focus from the source of the alleged terrorists training and hiding ground in AFGHANISTAN.. and the REAL reason USA asked UK/NATO to help USA by deploying troops to AFGHANISTAN to help US troops there, then promptly withdrew 77% of US troops leaving a grossly under-manned and under-resourced UK troops to sort the mess out !! (to be fair, NATO can take some of the blame for the UK malady in AFGHANISTAN today because many NATO countries refuse to allow their troops operate in a "war fighting role" there - only an admin role !!, and Tony Bliar has yet to fulfill his promise made on air Oct 6th 2006 promising UK troops (majority of NATO troops in AFGHANISTAN) that "whatever they needed they woudl get"..)

I care about every single soldier , marine , sailor, and airman . I am an American soldier myself . I understand how you feel , I was in Iraq . It sucks to be in a country where you can't let your guard down , and you have to be prepared to fight at any time day or night . Just remember this , you are part of the greatest military in the world , serving the greatest country in the world . When it seems like no-one cares that your in some nasty little hell hole, think about home and the everyday people that are working to keep the country that you are protecting going . They are the ones we fight for . They remember us .
God bless you and keep you safe .

On behalf of myself and my family Thank You for putting your life on the line for your country. It would be dishonest to say that we don't try to live our lives to the fullest since the war began, but we do talk about you guys and worry for your safety all the time. We can't all be in the armed forces, but I am behind anyone who is 100%. Don't forget you are the heroes and the victims of this war. I will never forget that and I will make damn sure the people I encounter know it as well.

The problem is Iraq sucks up most of the headlines. Too much good news comes out of Afghanistan which means it is not news.
Bush should have focused on securing Afghanistan before invading Iraq. Why he did not...?
Well thanks to you guys the Taliban is on the run and Al Quaida does not have a home base.

WE LOVE YOU! thanks for being in whatever hell hole your assinged to. I love my live and am fully aware that is our EXCEPTIONAL military that allows me to live like I do in this great country of ours.
I had a friend in reserves went to Bosnia... cant count how many times people said "well at least you werent being shot at like in Iraq"
people are clueless.. he was in peril frequently......
Afganistan unfortunatelly has not been the mass media darling of the moment.... which by no means means its any less important.
Thank you. Looking for a military pen pal... let me know who is interested ok?
