There is always a way to bypass stuff, but it usually involves doing something that makes another system suspect or very unreliable. The best thing to do is repair the problem and return it to a factory working order. The most common problem with this system is the wires leading to the ignition cylinder break off right at the cylinder due to work hardening. To check, locate the orange wire loom under the dash with two white wires in it that come from the steering column. Disconnect wherever you can, install the ignition key all the way in, and check the resistance with an ohmmeter from under the column. The value of the resistance is not important, it is the fact there is some resistance rather than an infinite one which says the circuit is open, hence the problem with passkey2. To repair, simply replace the ignition cylinder and the column wiring harness that comes connected to the cylinder. It is a fairly complicated job if you have never done it before!! To disable this would require you to connect in a similar resistance under the dash permanently which would now bypass this theft feature. Good luck.

Not really!
But the problem is likely a broken wire at the ignition lock cylinder.
It might not be super expensive to repair.
