Its a big Japanese manufacturing company that produces many different products. Cars, Trucks, Diggers, Insurance, Chemicals, etc. See list in this article.
If someone says 'I've got a Mitsubishi', they probably mean a car (see 2nd link).

Despite the obvious Mitsubishi is a "Car Manufacturer", there is also a party drug called "Red Mitsubishi".
