Over the past few days I have asked questions wondering if people were aware of what Iraqi's were saying and also how a significant number of troops felt about what was happening in Iraq.

Here is what the Iraqi's had to say... It is a very powerful statement. I hope you take the time to read it.

To know what the troops had to say you would have had to watch a documentary that was shown on tv so I can't link to it here. Lets just say they believe in the reason they are in Iraq and they wished that the American people would support them in their efforts to accomplish that mission.

Anyways, my question to all of you is would you support the mission in Iraq if the soldiers supported the mission? They are the people with firsthand knowledge as to what is happening there. We don't.

Since joining this forum, this is by far the best question I have seen.

Our media does a poor job in educating the public simply because they slant everything that the say (Regardless of what they say). On top of that, news is always focused on the disasters, death, suffering in our world. People don't turn to the news to find stories on good news. They tune in because we have been programmed to see death and despair. Media outlets don't report for the good of our society, they report for profits and advertisements.

Yes, it is amazing to see Soldiers bloody and disfigured and yet still proud professionals who know what the cost is and that it is worth it. My young Soldiers never cease to amaze me with their belief in what we are doing.

I am not sure if I answered you, but I can say that listening to our Soldiers and getting the truth on the ground is a lot more reliable than any news program. It may be earthy, but Real Soldiers know how to speak their mind and their beliefs

US policy is not dictated by the troops, who are simply there to do a job, or by the Iraqi people. This pathetic propaganda makes it sound as if the troops asked to go to Iraq, and we're just being oh so mean by not letting them stay and finish. I don't support their mission, it was bogus to begin with. I don't support the foolish policy of creating another Iran in Iraq. It is not worth $10 billion a month. I don't particularly care for the way the Republican party has been hijacked by neoconservatives. Real conservatives and true Americans are not pawns of Israel.

I think it's very important to hear what the troops have to say and the Iraqis. Sadly, as far as the troops go, my husband served over in Iraq and was "guided" in what he was allowed to say. I wish that wasn't the case, so we knew exactly how the troops really felt. Each and every one of them. No matter how they feel, they have to be there, and they need support no matter what. They didn't send us to war, they went to war for us. As far as the Iraqi people, it is sad so many lives are being lost, both american lives and Iraqi. I pray our troops make it home safely, soundly and soon. Until then, i do support them.

I support them. I pray for them & I want them all to come home to their families and this country.

I have read a very few articles about how the US troops fee. I have two cousins, a high school drinking buddy, and an in-law in Iraq, and they all say that what gets reported here is not all that is going on in Iraq-what we see is the worst of the worst.

I support them and I am grateful to them. They are over there so the enemy won't come here.

Unfortunately for America, there is nothing in this world that will persuade the many bleeding heart liberals that this war is justified, even if the troops themselves support the cause. They have become so brainwashed by the left-wind media that they don't believe anything supporting the war in Iraq.

You should not support any aggression or invasion of other country . Do you accept that foreign troops occupy your own country?
