Change your own way of life and you can save Her :
stop using the car all the time ; develop electric public transport ; develop electrical trains ; save energy and use green energy from water, wind and sun ; reduce your wastes ; eat less meat ; stop eating fishes from the sea ; dont buy genetically modified food ; buy more organic food ; dont buy fruits coming from oversea territories ; buy local since the transport use less oil ; make trees grow ; plant a christmas tree that could last 10 christmas. Respect the environment. Get informed about the current struggles of environmental associations like Sierra Club, WWF, Greenpeace.
Invest in technological innovations that develop alternative technologies using less energy and resources. Invest in sustainable developing companies and organisms.
You do it right now and the future will be a bit brighter.

It saddens me greatly to look at all that we have done to Mother Earth. What saddens me even more is to see the apathy to which many take about this. By harming the Earth we are harming ourselves as well. We cannot sit back and think some Divine entity will fix it or do worse to the Earth, it is up to us to change our ways and start to help Her to heal.

I cry alot for our Mother.....she's all we have to live on....and we do pollute her daily....I am glad that the 3 bin trash seperator in my kitchen exists...I am glad I recycle glass, plastic...and aluminum...I am glad that I didn't chop down those few pines from the hillside because there were "too many"....yeah....I have empathy for all you said.

I would find your question amusing if in fact my mother didn't really have cancer. But under the circumstances, (liver cancer) , I find it oddly stated. The problems you discuss all pale in light of a loved one dying.
