I have tried chewing a gum, mint, ear-plugs... and tried decongestants/antihistamines also... it works but not much.

Is there any certain location like sitting close to the wings..or all the way in the back or in the front....helps?

Any tip would be helpful since I will be traveling next week - Thanks.

Contact your doctor and ask him what to do.

get an OTC decongestant and take 30 minutes before your flight

everywhere in the plane - that altitude is set at avout 8,000 ft - even though you are above 30,000 flying

the plane is pressurized - and it is consistent throughout the aircraft

chewing gum is the best - ear plugs are for sound

not usually recommended is holding your nose and putting pressure in your mouth until your hear your ears 'pop'
that will normally equalize the pressure -

you have to reset when you get above 10,000 and then again when you land

the pain is because of the change in the altitude.

Can you wait until your cold is gone? Those are sinus pains.
