I think you are not happy with the haircut you have done. Anyways. Here are some tips, which I would like to suggest you. I am suggesting this tips to you because my own experience says they work. Just try them out:
Massage your scalp with almond oil (any good oil which contains almond will work) three days in a week.
Wash your hair with good shampoo and then use live-on conditioner, which is easily available in the market. Wash your hairs again three times in a week.
Do not comb your hairs when they are wet. Don’t use dryer. Let them dry naturally. Then comb your hair.
Comb your hair at least five to six times in day.
Include lots of tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots in your diet. Have a lot of fresh fruit juices and lemonade. Increase the intake of leafy veggies. Fish is also very good for the hair. Eggs will provide plenty of nutrition.
And at last, don’t forget to exercise regularly and have a good night sleep.

There is a vitamin supplement that can be found at any GNC or natural foods market called Biotin. It increases keratin production in the body. Head hair grows at the rate of 1/2 inch per month on average (it varies from person to person). Biotin increases this to 3/4 inch to an inch per month based on independent studies. The problem is that it takes about a month of steady usage to start seeing results. As others have answered, massaging the scalp does stimulate the follicles, but you have to have increased keratin to make the new hair strong and healthy.

Honest to god, buy pre-natal vitamins. They are loaded with everything (folic acid, vit A and B) imagineable to prep your body BUT the great thing is your hair, skin and nails will look awesome. When I took them before I was pregnant my hair got really long fast and my nails were the best they've ever been. You don't need a script. They sell them OTC. The vitamins won't hurt either. Warning..they are usually huge and a pain to swallow.

Cut split ends, don't do things that over dry your hair, massage your scalp once in a while to help the blood flow, don't wash it not too often, and don't cut it. Just be patient.
