Yes I do own a set of encyclopedia, I use them occasionally, but they are a little dated, so I mostly use the search engine on the Internet. My daughter used to use them for school and neighbours children now use them, for assignments etc too.
I have been thinking about giving them to my neighbours children but not sure they appreciate or look after them properly. I feel children need to learn how to look for information in bboks, not just the internet.

Yes, a 1967 World Book set, my grandmother's gift to me when I was born. They're interesting to read, if only to see how the cold war was a part of darn near everything in those days.
I've got the Brittanica set on DVD now and I use it every so often, though the internet is more convenient.

sYes world book. my second set, it's hard to part with something you paid over $800.00 for in 1988. I use to tell my kids when they asked me a question "go look it up in the encyclopedia!". My kids will use them still for their book report so they have more than just a bunch of references from the Internet.

yes, but I never use them, the internet is free and more up to date. Encyclopedias are obsolete.
