Why do more people use microsoft over macintosh?

Because their systems are not critical, and they are willing to accept viruses, trojans, spyware, adware etc, and have resigned themselves to the fact that they will need to re-install their entire system at intervals.

A lot of people don't have the money for a Mac, and so they're willing to put up with a certain amount of crap.

I've used both in a professional capacity. Now I've got the money however, all my machines are Macs.

If I want to use Windows for some reason, I'll run an emulator...

Well if to take particularly me, to me at all where to take Macintosh.
From here I do a conclusion, that MicroSoft is more successful in the marketing policy all over the world. Except for that MicroSoft their plus for promotion is easier hack and in it:)..
I shall continue:).. Microsoft as it seems to me, perfectly understands that before to use the market it it is necessary to create! Thus they help promotion of illegal spears of system in developing markets - that does not do Mac.
It is necessary to remember, that people are conservative and do not like to change the habits! Thus, after during some time people already work on Win free of charge and know only it. After that Microsoft goes with a flag of struggle for copyrights.
Besides Mac it is impossible to buy without hardware, Win it is possible. PC in times is cheaper.
Microsoft is a milliard market on which earn users, hackers and authors.

Software and hardware availability. cost, etc....Apple has always done things differently! Their latest hope is to be able to run windows XP on a Mac which is another stupid attempt at trying to be competitive! Anyone with a brain aint gonna buy a mac to then buy and install XP! Their Ipods are a failure also! You have to have the software on a PC before you can swap music files not to mention the troubles people have with ipods in answers! Any other mp3 player is plug and play! I am sure some fools will keep buyin them tho.....

firstly macintosh is more expensive than microsoft.
secondly theres much more programs that can run on microsoft.
thirdly its microsoft, well known brand name, people trust it I use it you too probablay
fourthly it is slightly easier to use

If youre not a complete moron, you should be smart enough to avoid getting viruses and trojans ect, and be able to maintain your system, unlike mac users who obviously arent smart enough to do it themselfs (which is why they love this about macs)
