Ex-directory phone numbers - PLEASE HELP!!!?

I was wondering if there were any way possible to get ex directory phone numbers? Just trying to get hold of an old friend of mine,

yes your local phone company have a copy of your phone bills, if your friend has called you you can reqest a copy of the phone bill for that month up to 7 years, free. in my city

I don't know - but when you get in touch with this friend - don't like to them - like you do to everybody on the Answers page.
