If you can't sleep, your best bet is always to get up and do something relaxing. Watch a little tv, take a bubblebath, do a crossword puzzle, etc. Nothing that will over-stimulate your brain --like looking at questions on Y!A!!

After about 30-45 mintues, lay back down and try to sleep again.

Nah, I would've gotten back up in like 10 mins, and then I would've smoked a cigarette, got a drink, took a cool shower, and tried the process of going back to sleep.

you should fall asleep within 30 min if not get out of bed and read watch TV, because you're just gonna stay awake longer in bed.

They say warm milk helps, lavander is also calming! Try reading or taking a hot bath. Counting sheep really does help

No....on the average, you should be able to fall asleep within 20 minutes of your head hitting the pillow.

i usually wait an hour or so. you could try reading a really boring book (like a textbook for a subject you dont like). or you could try drinking some warm milk. or some herbal tea (that's not caffinated)
