A comment from a do-gooder would ne nice. I thought we desperately needed immigrants? If we do, why is unemployment just below 2 million people? not to mention the lazy twats on disabliity benefits.

Does this include the extra strain on the NHS? the police etc?

We have some good immigrants, however we also have a lot of bad immigrants whose main purpose of coming to 'easy ride' England is to commit crime: fraud is quite popular in London, there's plenty of evidence around to justify my claim.

I know many migrants, and I like them, but hardly any pay tax or national insurance and never will. They work on the side while they claim benefits and are housed with the local authorities. Their latest scam is to rent privately, make it multiply occupied, then complain to the council that they are overcrowded which then forces councils to put them to the top of the housing list.

I own my own home, so I am not feeling pushed out by them, but I am sick of seeing our system abused, while all of us who are honest pay our way and pay increasing costs (rail fares, council tax, interest rates etc) a good proportion of these people live fine lives on the black market and benefits. Not fair-Not right.

I do not begrudge anyone a home or food of basic subsistance money if they do not have those things - I just begrudge people who are greedy, dishonest and show no respect for our culture.

Immigrants cost us a lot of money through criminal activities, health care, education etc - the government will never disclose the full, true figures though.

As black history in this country is almost non existence before 60 years ago there can be no doubt that the 'true Brit 'you mention is white and pointing that out is not racist it is the truth. Unfortunately, there are some Native Britain's on this forum and elsewhere who have failed to make the bond that has kept our small global minority community together. Those that deny their own people the right to exist are commonly known as Reverse Racialist and most are members of extreme left wing groups that do not allow the average Native Britain to even be concerned and lets face it, Mass immigration has turned into Ethnic cleansing. I don't know how it is in the UK, but when the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and other globalist types crunch the numbers they 1) ignore the fact that historic immigration was specifically slanted to let in those with skills or money who actually were a net benefit and 2) ignore the impact on schools and hospitals.

I don't know who is crunching the numbers in your case, but if the immigrants are poor and get subsidized services, I don't see how it comes out to be a benefit to the people living there.

It may be a benefit to the gross domestic product because more people produce more (not necessarily more per person.) However, how much have your salaries gone up over there as your GDP went up?

Recently the Fed over here noted that wages were the smallest percentage of GDP since the Great Depression. Businesses are getting profits, but they aren't sharing them with workers.

Hope things are managed better over there than in the US, but to be honest, I suspect they are the same.

Apparently the net benefit to the average UK cictizen from migrant workers is very small (4p a week x 60 million people is more than I'll ever earn in my life!) But the point is however small, it is in our favour! Look how much Brown has taken out of your pockets. The benefits increase greatly if you get a bunch of hard working Poles to build you a cracking extension while his British counterpart is sucking air through his teeth while telling you he can't give you an estimate until October.

I doubt if there are any positive economic benefits to come from the vast tide of immigration we are experiencing.
No one seems to have linked house price rises to immigration and yet it is probably the biggest single factor.
Private landlords are snapping up properties at vastly inflated prices knowing that they can fill them with immigrants paying high rents.
There will be a huge increase in costs for the NHS and as tensions rise between the immigrants and the native Brits policing costs are going to skyrocket.
In addition a lot of the immigrants will qualify for benefits which they will send home, so the money they receive will not even be spent in this country.
That said, in their shoes I would be doing exactly the same, it's not a sin to seek a better life.

Yes, well this "estimate" comes from Migration Watch, which is a group that campaigns against immigration. They don't have anything though to say about Brits leaving to live abroad, I suppose that's OK.

Their figures are at odds with other estimates, not only from the Government.

Yes good question to raise.
I believe that a certain amount of migration is beneficial but I really don't see how a country of this size can continue to cope with all the increasing population pressure it can't keep going for ever.
Basic infrastructure such as roads and trains are already very overcrowded. The pressure on social services and housing etc are already at breaking point. Employers have benefited of course because it has brought down labour costs at the bottom end of the market. Note the most of the higher earners who are saying how wonderful it is aren't the one's having their salaries reduced, if it was the case they might not think it's so wonderful.
There is a crime aspect to this as well, but obviously most are reasonably decent people.
Now I have heard that millions of Brits move abroad yes that's true, but most of those Brits are already self sufficient and are not going abroad to take over loads of jobs where we already have so many of own unemployed. Yes there are skilled workers coming here, but there are also a hell of alot of unskilled workers coming here when we already have plenty of our own. I am not saying stop people coming here, I am saying watch the numbers it's got to be managed.

This figure is given out by a right wing group. but even if correct this is a large amount of money when multiplied by 60,000,000.
Why not ask them the result of pulling out the immigrants.
There will be no food in the stores as they will be rotting in the fields.
London will close down.
The construction industry will collapse.
The NHS in my area is 80% foreign and they are short staffed so the foreigners are not taking these jobs.
A neurologist that saved my nieces life last year was South African. I thank him and hope that he enjoys life here. God help us if South Africa kick out the million plus UK citizens.

Surely any positive contribution is better than a negative one. How anyone can moan about the influx of workers in this country is beyond me. I have observed many eastern Europeans in this country and I am always amazed at how hard working they are. I think this is is the main problem in this country: people who are bone idle and think they have a God given right to sponge off the welfare system are being shown up for what they are, - naturally occurring parasites. I am not of course referring to people who CANNOT work for whatever legitimate reason!! I know I will get a lot of thumbs down, but sorry, the truth will out!
