ok, i'm planning this whole romantic homecooked dinner for my loved one for v-day. but the thing is it won't be romantic if i plan it at my crib cuz-my parents will be home, or at his crib cuz his parents will be home. we both r 19. so, i don't know what i should do. go to a hotel or a motel for a night, or ask a friend to let me borrow their crib for a night (doubt they'll let me)? but, n-e-body have n-e suggestions for me?
*i want 2 do this cuz he's always been so romantic w/ me & i wanna return the favor*
**& yes it might be a bit early for v-day plans, but if i put this off & don't start saving up-i will just feel so awful**
thanx in advance

Ask your parents to go out for the evening, they maybe thrilled to get out for themselves as well. This way they get out for a night together, and you have the house for entertaining. Good Luck

I think a hotel room sounds like one of your best options, but it really depends on how adventurous you are. You could plan a very romantic night out under the stars. What I'm suggesting would require only a few items:
- A truck (matress & blankets in the back)
- A full picnic basket w/ wine glasses (since you're not old enough to buy wine, get some sparkling apple cider to get the same effect; only without the buzz!)
- A place to park; a secluded, private area away from city lights
There's nothing greater than spending time alone with the one you love, under the twinkling, starry sky. Impress him with a map of the stars, constellations, etc... that you can print ahead of time. Skymaps.com provides a new downloadable map each month of what can be seen in the sky and it's even user friendly. You could even take it a step further by bringing a telescope along.
I'm sure whatever you decide to do, he'll love it and appreciate the thought and effort behind it.
Good luck and have fun! : )

Have someone else do the cooking. Go to a nice restaurant and then go to a nice hotel. This would be just as romantic as a night at home. The hotel could also set something romantic up like candles and chocolates in the room. Good luck

The hotel seems like a good idea, but remember to think about transporting the food (does it have to be hot... how will it keep hot...) Another idea would be to have a romantic picnic in a park (candle lit) and then go to a nice hotel (if you book it now you can get a nice room at a nice place for an affordable price) and take a sexy bubble bath... just the two of you!

well the idea is good..why dont u plan a home cooked picnic at the beach or near a lake.it will be a blast.u could get a player and romantic music and also have a candle light dinner...then if its near the lake..u snuggle up in a boat and be in the middle of the lake watching stars....
is u want it near the beach still the player will help.and u could build a fire and cook(if you like - maybe 2,3,tiems) and then snuggle up at the beach near the fire and use up hot coffe, play cards(what ever u both enjoy) and also the start gazing!
What do u think...the dinner will be cooked by u...just have to organise a nice table and 2 chairs at the beach..u can get that from the hotel beach..whatever is convinient..no idea how it works there!
Think it out..u have loads of time to reserach and organise it!
Best of luck!

You say you wanted to cook a good meal for him then
you mention going to a motel or hotel. Why not take him
to a romantic restaurant since you talked about food,
then after you have had your romantic meal then the both
of you can talk about what to do next, and the good part
of it is you two will be alone and not at home to make
your decision.

I would go to a nice hotel. Not over the top expensive, just nice. Perhaps a residence inn where they have the little kitchens. It's a great get a way and you don't have to worry about anyone coming in. It's great that your planning in advance, it shows a lot of forthought. I remember when my husband and I were dating his parents went out of town to Vegas for Thanksgiving. It was great we got to spend time alone together and have it just be us, relax and not worry about parents, etc.
That was sheesh 19 years ago, we've been married for 17.

Try to have a great night, and have a rommatic pininc or BBQ. Try to spend the night camping which is cheap if that is possable. Save some money and go a a weekend trip to getter. If you have your own or or if he has his own room set up the table in your room and have candles and put some rommatic music.

Take him out! There is nothing wrong with adding a few personal touches to your table when you get to the restaurant. Call ahead for seating and you may not have to wait. Take a couple of roses and some table confetti.
