I want to move away from the UK and work AND live in another country. I'd like to go to America (I hear the streets are paved with gold!!), but Australia or New Zealand would be nice. Any idea how I can set the ball rolling. Websites to look at for work, people to contact etc...

Are you currently employed?
If the place you're working for is a Multinational Coorperation, I suggest you apply for a transfer.

If you aren't, then, find a friend who can help you out. This friend must live in the country you wish to live in.

It's better to have someone who can help you out in a foreign country.

And... About America's streets being paved w/ gold. I'm sure you get that its just an expression. As in many opportunities and stuff. But not really, it's more like silver or something. Otherwise, why would we have so many homeless?
