I have photoshop CS2 and Imageready I made a couple of gifs. But I was wondering how do I make the frames fade or do something different when they go to the next one if you can tell me the steps on how to do that it would be great thanks.

GIF doesn't natively support any of that. When they came up with the spec, they thought that 256 colors, transparency, and frame by frame animation would be enough. They were wrong.

The best way to do a fade is to create each of the frames of the fade and put them in the GIF in sequence with the tiniest of delays between the frames.

Also consider switching to Flash as fading CAN be done with that.
