She woke up this morning about 2 am. And she is still awake. She keeps kicking her legs on the bed. But not like she is throwing a fit. Like she is in pain and that is the only thing she can do to make it stop hurting. I gave her tylenol about an hour ago but she still wont go to sleep. This is not normal for her.

My 4 year old gets an achy pelvis when she is growing. I get the heating pad out for her, and when it's really bad, we put her in a fairly warm bath and let her soak. I've found that the warmth works much better than pain relievers. My 16 year old niece still has horrible leg pains when she's growing. I'd take her to her doctor just to make sure it's just growing pains and not some other problem. Better safe than sorry.

Sometimes leg pain and restlessness can be caused by dehydration or a drop in potassium. Muscle pain can also cause this, but to be safe, have her check up with her Doc.

Check the child's legs. Feel for knots. Make an appointment with the doctor to run tests for cancer to rule that out. I know this from personal experience. There could also be genetic problems that have side effects of achy bones in legs. I have always had achy legs My cousin did also. He died of cancer at 12 after they amputated them. He never quit living though. Do not up set the child being upset yourself. But do get test run on the child. My legs ache today to the bone. I also have genetic problems. and Blood disorders and blood diseases. That is side effects of my genetic problems. Do not give your child Motrin. This could cause Ryes syndrome.
