ok, so i broke up with my b/f -- well he broke up with me a day before Christmas, out of nowhere. He won't pick up his phone, and he gives me this sorry "no no, it's not you, it's me" excuse through email. basically, i kind knew that this was comng for a while because everything that came out of his mouth never seemed right to me, but i chose to go with the flow because he's a really nice guy, and before that, we were really good friends. i almost had / have a feeling that he was seeing another girl on the side, and he was trying break up with me . i've never been so disappointed in someone this much before, but i'm ready to start moving on with my life... his birthday was november 27th, and i brought him a new pair of sneakers; should i ask for them back? plz, i want realistic suggestions so i can start to get over him; plz don't suggest that i eat a whole tub of icecream or something like that... how would you guys react to a break up of your own that should end up the way mine did??

The best thing to do is not talk to him. At all. I know its going to be weird and hard but thats pretty much the only way. About the sneakers..thats all up to you. If you really want them back then ask for them back. Start taking time to hang out with the girls (single ones) and start enjoying the good things that come with the single life. Its going to be a long hard road so just surround yourself with people you love!!

Just remember that you have to date a lot of people before you find the right one and it wasn't him. He probaly is seeing someone else so you need to find someone else also. Get a piece of paper and divide it in two. list on one side the good things about yourself and on the other the bad - be honest with yourself since you will be the only one to see that - and try to change those things you may think you need to change but then make a list of things you want in a person and look until you find someone that fits that description.

what are you gonna do with the sneakers? he probably wore em and you cant bring them back and they wont fit you..
as for everything else? um get a lot of new hobbies and stay really busy. so that you wont have any time that he could possibly end up on your mind

Girl, I know from previous experience. It just takes time. I have been hurt the same time guy and always went back to him. Eventually you will just realize that he wasn't for you. It will just click and you won't ever want to see, speak, or hear from him again..

Don't get the sneakers back. They will even remind you about him. Party and meet new friends. =)
