science mostly explains away most of what we might attribute to a divine creator, so how then can you still believe ?

Not at all. There's tons of stuff that science can't begin to explain. What caused the big bang? Stephen Hawkings, the smartest astro-physicist in the world says he's got no clue. What did the first living cell evolve from? Why is the speed of light absolute and the speed of everything else relative? The list is endless.
I don't care if you believe in a god or not but science certainly can't explain life, the universe and everything.

Science sweeps away all its truisms every 20 or 30 years. What scientific facts are immutable? Ultimately, the knowledge and technology we develop should bring us closer to God. If we can store millions of bits of information on a single memory stick, maybe that helps us understand how God can track all of our deeds and prayers. If we can map the universe, maybe we can understand how the earth can be 12 billion years old without contradicting Bible's version that the world was created about 6,000 years ago. If we can use stem cells to cure disease, maybe we should be giving props to the Creator of the stem cell concept in the first place. To an open mind, science is the confirmation of religion, not its contradiction. The ultimate question of course is who turned on the switch to start the universe in the first place?

Quite a few of these theist answers are "God of the Gaps" arguments.
Science is NEUTRAL on spiritual matters because spiritual matters and claims cannot be tested or proven one way or another. The only thing that science has done to people's concept of divinity is demonstrate that a literal reading of Genisis is not how life in its current form came about. This does not rule out a god, only a literal interpetation of its early legends.

First of all Believe in God requires faith. But I have a question to ask of you. Scienctists say that the universe started with the big bang. Right and we know from Newton that an object at rest will stay at rest until it is moved, Right. So Who was the first mover who can Be unmoved. Who created the gases that were moved for the big bang.

One instance in the bible is when God makes a vow to Abraham in that HE promises the Holy Land to Abraham's descendants. There is a quality called honor being displayed.
Not to argue, if science has done away with divinity, how does science explain honor? In my opinion, science cannot do away with divinity until honor, courage, honesty and like-minded ideals are also done away with.
Interesting question indeed.

how do you explain the existence or necessity of something like a beautiful flower? science claims that there's reason and purpose for every existence but what do we need flowers for?
It's for our enjoyment and pleasure and that's why i believe everything is by design - - designed by a Creator and our conscience tells us that when we look at the world. As someone said, it takes more faith to be an atheist than to be a believer.

Interesting...so then explaining away truth is a good thing? Since God represents all that is true, created man and science, what makes people believe God does not exist? Science is all about experimenting to find truth...not explaining it away altho Satan lives everywhere and that is the reality of life.

Whoa boy! God created science for answers to our questions. Even scientists are believers in the creation. Theories don't erase facts, theories are just opinions.

No, with the aid of fact it somewhat is human nature to belong to a team.. team think of is what led to us to proceed to exist interior the earliest tiers of our evolution, and it somewhat is nonetheless a factor individuals as we talk. we are social animals, and we've a bent to bypass alongside with despite the gang does. i grew to become into appearing somewhat diagnosis for a preparation piece i'm providing, and located this test: They located somebody in a small room to take a try, and whilst this individual grew to become into sorting out, they pumped smoke into the room. while the guy grew to become into on my own, they reported the smoke to a proctor each time. while 2 human beings have been located in a room, neither individual reported the smoke. while 3 have been located in a room, a similar result- no person reported it. It grew to become into as though they have been all in a conspiracy jointly. no person needed to be the guy to stand up and say something, even however the room grew to become into filling up with smoke. those have been all nicely-knowledgeable human beings.. the information of the smoke grew to become into sparkling... while on my own, they could checklist.. while with a team, they does no longer. it somewhat is the reason a meme is what it somewhat is.

Fill me in, I have not heard anything from science that PROVES that at all. Not by the standards of the Scientific community itself.
