To the best of my memory, the Bible doesn't mention Christmas. It does tell the story of the celebration of Christ's birth, and that's all we do with Christmas. The word itself simply means a Catholic Mass for Christ. Ya know, Christ's Mass to celebrate his birthday, which has condensed to Christmas. Do you also have a problem with Easter, or any of the other religious holidays?

I personally believe (based on the Biblical teachings) that celebrating Christmas is not wrong. As has been said, Christmas is celebrating the birth of Christ which is of course worth celebration. Christmas is so commercial these days that it is easy to get caught up in all of it. I think that is what God wants us to avoid, "forgetting the reason for the season." A good idea to remember and keep things in perspective is to have a birthday cake or something for Jesus on Christmas day so that loved ones will also keep in mind what is truly important on that day. There is a difference between getting drunk at Christmas parties & seeing who bought who the best gift and celebrating Christmas.

You sound confused.
1 - God never said to celebrate anything with regards to the birth of Jesus.
2 - Jesus was NOT born in Dec cos its too cold for sheep to graze.
3 - Dec 25 is the birth of the sun-god apollos.
Why Christ-Mass...well, ask the catholics.

it incredibly is fullyyt a style of issues that the church had co-opted to offer up the pagans from having their annual iciness Solstice pageant and the comparable factor with Easter and Halloween. they actually did no longer understand whilst Jesus grew to become into born and desperate that December 25 would be as reliable as time and any to rejoice his start. The Catholic Church "stored" the pagan holidays by skill of injecting Jesus into them. it incredibly is a robust day to get including friends and kinfolk and supply presents in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it is likewise very annoying. for some years the holiday grew to become into no longer celebrated interior of u . s . a . of america and Congress has even been in consultation on Christmas Day.
