Try doing various vegetables as in: Cook carrots (batons) and parsnips (batons) and turnips (batons)first by boiling them for a few minutes and then plinge them into cold water to stop the cooking process...do not overcook them. Then make a batter and add some dried italian herbs to the batter along with some finely chopped garlic. Dip the vegetables into the batter and lightly deep fry and serve with a good homemade tomato sauce with basil in it. Also you can do the same with bell peppers but when doing the peppers light chargrill or grill them first to remove their skins. Also cut cubes of brie cheese, pane them ( flour, egg wash and fine breadcrumbs and then freeze the cubes for 30 minutes before frying so that the cheese wont burst in the fryer! Also do the same with mushrooms....remove stalk and fill cap of mushrooms with a parsley and garlic butter...pane them and then freeze for 30 mins before frying. fry till golden brown, drain and place in oven at 170c for 5 mins to ensure that the mushrooms are cooked through and then serve with either a mayonnaise or perhaps a nice salsa or tossed green salad. Deep fried Aubergines are very good too......slice the aubergines, pane them with flour and then dip in batter and deep fry and serve with homemade tomato sauce to which you could add some coriander and a little chilli. Good luck with your fryer and remember to use a good quality sunflower or vegetable oil and to change and filter it regularly! Another few ideas are to pane meat batoned pieces of pork or chicken, pane them and deep fry till golden and then finish cooking by placing in oven for 5 to 10 minutes depending on the thickness of the escalope...you can try so many different things. An excellent cookbook to buy is Professional Cookery by Ceserani and Kinton.... you will never need another cookbook after you buy this! It's the best one on the market and is used in the catering colleges when training chefs. Good luck with your cooking!

Practically anything from doughnuts to chicken joints, just so long as you don't try using the same oil! Keep some spare large empty oil bottles so that you can keep (after it's cooled down!) each oil for future re-use and wash out the fryer after each use.

I love both fruits and fruit and vegetables better, however they look and taste. You desire a little of both.
