The CBT is really good and Im sure it will help her. In the meantime, if she has a panic just talk calmly and quietly to her to help her calm down;

She probably has more anxiety-panic attacks than OCD. I have OCD but it isn't that bad in adult hood like it was in my child hood so it doesn't require treatment right now. However, my cousin has panic attacks and it sounds like his symptoms. Just be supportive of her. I think she'd be better off just seeing her general family physician to get a prescription for valium or some kind of medicine to take as needed. Does she really need a CT scan? Noone is really "normal"...what is normal anyway? She knows her problems...she should save her money, I think, and go to either a therapist or just a few appointments with a family physician for a prescription. Just be as loving and supportive of her as possible. We know so little about the human brain, and there is no "cure-all". Good luck. :-)

Take a look into EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to see if you are interested to pursue this.
