Yes, the Book of Revelation. There's more good stuff in there. Like seven eyed birds or something.

My own view is that God hides from us deliberately. I mean, if he's God, he could just appear in the sky and tell us stuff. Then there would be no question about it. 'Hey, abortion is WRONG! Didn't you hear God last Tuesday?' But instead, if he exists at all (which is another argument) he obviously would rather have us figure stuff out for ourselves. He gives us the intellectual capacity to do this, which I think is a great gift. He also gives us CRITICAL FACULTIES so we will know when we're being bamboozled. But some people just LOVE to be bamboozled. Consequently, ALL theology is tentative and speculative. It is a philosophy based on things that can't be known! ALL religious doctrine is man made, for people who just have to have answers. People who prefer the questions to the answers are not great lovers of 'obligatory' doctrines. I have studied the Bible and I think it's fascinating just on the level of literature. But its been edited, censored, redacted, rearranged, selected, etc. for thousands of years. The best versions we have are copies of copies of translations of translations. For the first few millennia it was copied by hand and changes were introduced, both by mistake and on purpose, some small and subtle and some big and ignorable. The four stories of the life of Jesus were written at least 70 years after Jesus lived, by people who never actually knew or saw him, in a language he didn't even speak! If God was really trying to talk to us, to reveal truths to us, don't you think he could do better than that? BTW, Jesus' descent into hell is not in the Bible, it's 'traditional'.

we live in a physical world and everything that exists is of the physical plane or a manifestation of the physical world. Do away with the chemical processes of the brain and the thoughts and dreams and imaginations diappear they are all manifestations of the physical world. There is no god or spiritual world without it being manifest in the physical plane. Hence do away with the brain and you do away with all conceptulization of god and god fails to exist as is the actual real void that imagination has filled.
A liitle common sense can support the truth as well for most people as science can for the gifted when it comes to these ideas.Everything is made of energy and matter and the interplay of the two.
peace out

God is not human, God is a spirit.
Look for a good church that has a bible study where you can learn and ask questions.
God Bless

God isn't human. God created humans out of his likeness is correct, but God is far from human. Whoever told you that God was human is very mislead. Could a human create human besides conception? Could a human create the universe? I don't think so! :)

God is definately not human. Jesus was definately human for a while. The illustrations you are referring to are symbolic from the book of Revelation.

The bible uses many literary devices, mostly metaphors and similies to describe things. It is not meant to be translated literally, rather it is meant to be interpreted in the way that you feel is correct.

The bible does not say that God is human in the first place.
He is God and he created humans in His "image".
