why do muslims "convert" to christianity? It is their "duty", if you want, if they want to have knowledge, according to the qur'an, to read the bible and the torah, to say the truth here. Of course it's not a duty, but the qur'an says so. The qur'an also speaks about "inputs" (sorry not the exact word) of the devil. I believe the quran has inputs of the devil....To come to a conclusion: You really have to read all three books if you wanna have knowledge. So I don't see the problem. The qur'an is just one book more to read....with inputs from the devil. Read the bible all you muslims. For we "especially love the one in the middle" and that one is jesus.

Nuff said.

to kill all the nonbelievers is an input from the devil for me...for killers will not inherit the kingdom of god.

the Holy Quran respects and acknowledges the all scriptures brought by God's prophets in the past. David was given the Psalms, Moses receives the Torah and Jesus was granted the Bible. The Holy Quran is the last of the heavenly book and was given to the last of the long line of prophets since Adam (peace be upon him) that is Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). The question that we should ponder and think is what the Holy Quran says when it touches on the subject of alterations and changes in the teachings of the other Prophets. The Quran blames the scholars of Torah and bible for knowingly altering the teachings of the prophets for their own selfish interests and desires. Original Judaism and Christianity teaches nothing more than monotheism that is the absolute submission and recognition the one and only God. Judaism calls him Yehovah, Christians says God while Muslims know Him as Allah. That is the basic teachings of all prophets beginning from Adam right down to Muhammad. Their teachings may differ according to their own specific times and environment but their message is only one - the worship of one true God, that does not beget nor begotten.

i have to agree. i have read all three books of the Abrahamic faith. However, i have also read many books of the history of the compilation of these works, and thus feel very skeptical in particular of the new testament as written by Paul. but I've read it, over an over.

how about another question- how come many Christians don't read the Apocrypha or the dead sea scrolls or the other texts, such as the gospels of Thomas, Judas, etc? just for the information? In fact, why is the catholic bible and the protestant bible different?

loony, the Qur'an does not have any "inputs" from the devil. If you believe that then the devil surely has input into your head... and judy is really the devil trying to input into you, so i would disconnect her totally otherwise you might get a virus.

Sweetheart I memorized the bible. I read it every day. I also know my Quran. I have read the Torah with the Jews. I have studied for more than half of my life. Yes the Quran says you should learn it and I did. That is why I became Muslim. What is your point?

I have no idea what you are on about! I have read your the Bible and I have found so many things wrong, so many contrdictions. Though there is some truth in it.

Maybe you should read the Bible including the Old Testament and compare it with the New Testament. Then read the Gospels and compare them with each other and see what you find!
