Thank you for your patience most of your answers were splendid. It is a pleasure debating with you. It is a pleasure the way you stick to your guns. I don't like many of the hateful questions you are sometimes asked myself. God bless kisses Betty.

Susan had it bass-ackwards. It's Atheists who get frustrated with Christians when Christians attempt to abridge our freedom of religion by forcing it on us at every opportunity. They're so lacking in their faith that the fact that many of us Atheists live happy, productive, and successful lives WITHOUT their "god" really scares the pee out of them. Our happy disbelief is a real threat to their world so they have to constantly attack us.

Many (most?) christians are afraid of us. When they listen and really consider our reasonable arguments, their whole system of belief can begin to crumble. Perhaps that's what you mean by "lack of faith"?

I have several close christian friends and family members that have asked that I stop speaking to them about religion, but not because they are upset or bored with me -- it is because they don't want to change their minds.

At first, they are usually curious and ask good probing questions. But then when I offer powerful answers and even more troubling questions, some of them get visibly shaken. I've become quite good at knowing when to give them more ideas to consider, and when to hold back.

Yes most atheists are nice people. But how do you think we came about. You think we just one day here we are. Christians believe we are here for a purpose. And that we are all children under one God. They get so frustrated with you because you don't believe in anything, do you?

Christians get frustrated with atheists when atheists attempt to abridge our freedom of religion. In America, historically, expression of religion is the first principle.. We are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights, like worshipping our Creator.

Other than that, it's fine, do your own thing!

Most Christians do not get frustrated with Atheists because they are Atheists. It is the ones that try to say that no one that is intelligent or educated can be a Christian. I find that some what offensive

You have the right to believe whatever you want to believe, even though I disagree, and I'm sure most atheists are lovely people.
What frustrates me are the atheists who constantly call Christians brainwashed, uneducated, mindless and weak.

Why do Antheists get so frusted with Christians?

I have seen lots of times when BOTH sides get a little out of hand. it's NOT just Christians. it's both.

I never said you weren't nice people. We just don't agree and both sides are sticking to their guns. So I guess we should just agree that we disagree and get on with our lives.

For one, we've got an extra 4 hours free a week, every Sunday morning.

Unfortunately I spend it sleeping in, then I tool around on Yahoo Answers for 2 hours, then I wonder aimlessly around town drinking coffee.

I think frustration is evident in every personality type regardless of creed.
