It depends.. if it must be a picture ID, you could use something such as a passport, a school ID, or your yearbook photograph. The important thing with a picture ID is that they can compare your face to the one in the photograph and have the name to go along with it.

If not, you can use your birth certificate, social security card, a credit card with your name on it, or if you can't find another thing, you could probably even get a lawyer and a relative together and assemble an affadavit (sp?).

HTH. :)

International Relations Coordinator Robyn Broughton says His Holiness really wanted to interact with staff and students. As the capacity of St David is limited to 500 people, it was decided to run a competition to choose which staff and students can attend – asking what question they would ask the Dalai Lama. The competition closes on Friday 19 April, but Mrs Broughton says there has been a fantastic response already from staff across the campus. “We have had entries from across the board,” she says. “Right from PhD students to senior management.” And the questions cover a spectrum of topics too. “There are quite a few around how to achieve balance in a busy life, quite a few around His Holiness’s thoughts around the role of tertiary education for young people, some around how to stay positive, someone has asked ‘If you could be an animal, what would you be?’, another has asked ‘What is your favourite childhood memory?’.” The final questions to be put to His Holiness will be selected by the national organiser of the Dalai Lama Trust, but Mrs Broughton believes there will be mix of serious and more light-hearted questions. Professor Mark Henaghan of Law will facilitate the session and put the questions to him.

Try using drivers license, passport if you have one?

Otherwise one of your parents, or your legal guardian can open up one in your name. Either as a joint account, (and they will of course not use it). Or they can open one on your name alone, I forget the term the banks use for such an account. However it means that it is your account only, but they over-see your account.

I suggest you go back to the bank and ask them about my suggestion and they will let you know the exact way you can open it with your parent, or legal guardian.

I know, because many years ago I opened an account for my son when he was in elementary school.
Good Luck

Whatever documents you used to get your state ID would probably work.

Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Passport (I'm assuming you don't have one or you would have thought of it, but just for the sake of making my answer complete, I'll include it.)
