I once had a boyfriend that did this as well. He went to the doctor about it because it was really bad, but he just said here was nothing he could do. Like your boyfriend, it didn't happen all the time, just every now and again. I'm not sure what to suggest for you, maybe he could go to his doc and mention it? Just in case it is anything else underlying. Good luck xx

My partner suffers this also, but not just in bed. His hands and feet can often sweat uncontrolably, sometimes for a few minutes up to around 20 minutes at a time, and can happen throughout the day. Doctors have narrowed it down to the nerve attached to his sweat gland. My point here is maybe he should see his GP, there may be more to this than either of you know. Tell him not to worry or to be embarrased and that you'll help and support him all the way.

Some other answers have good suggestions to manage this. I would just say that I know women can have night sweats due to hormone fluctuations (menopause/time of the month) but I don't think that's so in men. If he's always been like this, then try the advice to manage it. If it's started after he finished growing up, then there is a possibility of an illness, for example TB can cause night sweats, so I'd suggest he sees his doctor to rule this out. Good luck.

Buy Egyptian Cotton Sheets. Wash down with a cold wet flannel before bed, and air dry. Use a lighter Duvet also with an Egyptian cotton cover. Get a small dehumidifier for the bedroom and sleep with the window open only very slightly.

I used to get this a lot to be honest - I put it down to Alcohol, caffeine before bed time, stressful working environment and cheap bed linen - changed what I could, namely not drinking late in the evening and avoiding tea/coffee last thing etc... Try sleeping with the window open also - it really will make you feel better in the morning too - fresh air at night instead of each others gases!!

my husband doesnt really sweat but hes always hot for some reason. he likes sleeping with the window open ALL the time even when its freezing cold. we went to talk to a specialst & they said it was because of dehydration. they also ran a couple of other tests while trying to determine the cause to make sure it wasn't a symptom of much more serious diseases. the doc said usually its caused by dehydration (like in his case) but it can also be as serious as HIV symptoms so you should encourage a doctor visit

No, my bf doesnt have that problem.
Anyway, a lot of factors can cause it. Bring him to see a hormone specialist or dermatologist, it could be caused by either hormone imbalance/disorder or also the pores. Only a specialist can check and confirm it.
Meanwhile, just dont open the window then to reduce the risk

Yeah, it happens to be a lot. I call it alchol sweats. It's when I've been drinking a lot over 2,3 or 4 days such as over a festive period. It sometimes smells as all the sweetness is escaping. Really disgusting actually.

It depends on the case. If its only sometimes, it could mean anything from temperature conditions, stress levels or even bad dreams.
If its all the time it should be looked at, and he could have a gland problem or even something simple as getting overstressed when sleeping.
