Thanks again for additional responses. I think as long as you guys think it is safe to lose 45 pounds in 4-5 mos then that's enough to motivate me. Thanks!

studies show that if you are dieting safely-average weight loss should be about a pound a week for the first 3-4 weeks then 1-2 pounds each week following.

you shouldn't be taking in less than 1200 calories a day b/c if you do-then your body goes into starvation mode and will hold onto any calories you consume-storing them as fat cells for future use.

The shortest time to do it in a safe way is 2 lbs per week, which takes 22,5 weeks. It should take 158 days, aka a little bit more than 5 months.

It will probably take more because you need to find the right set of tools for you (ie kind of diet, kind of exercise, type of trainer, right motivation), which can't be find in a book or in another person's experience, they take active experimentation.

Chances are you will make some mistakes before being able to go at your fastest speed and it's important that you don't lose your motivation when things aren't exactly right or as fast as you want them to be.

Therefore, refocus on a 6,5 month goal.

Good luck!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing toxins from your body. You get toxins from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The toxins get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the toxins. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! You can safely lose a pound a week (corresponding to a caloric deficiency of 500 calories a day). So it will take close to a year.
