most Christians don't believe in a monotheistic god. They believe in the trinity, which is very contrary to what Jews and Muslims believe. furthermore, neither Jews or Muslims believe Jesus was the messiah (savior). So the three will never come together on that.

the Quran differs from the Torah in many ways. They have different retelling of historical events, and worship G-d differently.

Now, if you want to create a new monotheistic religion based on the Abrahamic G-d, but without all of the other stuff (the rituals, etc) good luck. i too believe in the one G-d however i also believe he is the G-d of Zoroaster as well, and can be found in other places. But religion is not for proper worship, but a way of like minded individuals to support one another (it's like a large family). so in short, it's not going to work.

Could you please be more specific? Because I am a Christian, and I believe in God, so I'm not understanding your question. Are you looking for an excuse to believe in God but not follow any commandments? Christianity isn't about rules and religion, it's about Faith. Faith in knowing that if you believe God sent his one and only Son to die for our sins, and if you accept Jesus into your heart, then you will live forever in his kingdom. That is what being a Christian is about. Not about hate, or ridicule. That is what liberals want you to believe the bible is about. Just take the time to read it and think for yourself. Trust in God and his word. Have Faith, don't just believe.

I doubt very much Jews want to stop being Jews any more than Catholics want to stop being Catholics and Canadians want to stop being Canadians.

Surely it would be better if Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus and the followers of John Frum just stopped shooting, raping, bombing, imprisoning, humiliating and invading each other.

Peace

In the Qur'an, the name of a believer is muslim, mu'min, or abdullah, where christian and jew are just fabricated names found nowhere in their respective holy books

- Cause to do that, you have to ignore Gods written word like where it says : There's only One way to the Father & thats through the Son. The devil is hoping we stop holding God to his word. Its the salvational issues that divide us. Meanwhile satan is calling for no division & all go to Hell, no sunday school ? - Ever ?

No way. I believe in God. I will not be a part of any religion that lives by any hate filled book.

Everyone has their own verson of 'God', its like political factions. The beliefs are different. How about calling ourselves 'human' instead.
