Talk about yourself. You should be able to discuss your childhood, favorite food, how you feel about religion, how you feel about family holidays. Who has influenced you the most in your life? Do you have any special memories? What are your hopes and dreams for the future? Do you want children with him? What city do you want to visit on a vaction someday?

I can understand your problem.
Okay issues that are important to do talking are like, what are your likes, what his opinion on various issues, what is his work place, if you are working you can discuss about your work place.
You can discuss about your favourites and ask him about his.
Talk about his family, who all are there, what are their attachment with him, how is he dealing with them.
Talk about your family etc
Talk about books that you read and books that he likes to read.
Ask him his fair opinion on some movies or recent news items.
Exchange your views with him about marriage, family, etc etc.
If you chat or communicate via email.. do not emphasis more on whether he loves you or not or you love him..
Normally I have seen youngster getting in to fantasy and just want to talk about Love and sex and dirty filthy issues which give them excitement... but you lose your time on understanding your partner.
There are 10 thousand things that you can talk to your fiance.

Start with Likes and dislikes about food,movies,sports,clothes the list is endless.this will help you understand the person character and will help you in delaing with that person in future.
Talk about future plans house,kids,savings etc.
Exchange jokes,poems....
Talk about relatives like and the one you hate...
Dont talk about your past relationship and do not speak truth and tell the other to speak truth about their past relation it will hurt you not know but in fuutre
