The show "Made in America" just did a visit to Sam Adams Brewery, which I watched today. They referred to it as a lager. I hope that helps.

Yes, they couldn't call it a lager if it wasn't.

Lager is a well attenuated beer brewed in cool conditions using a slow-acting brewers yeast, known as a bottom-fermenting yeast, and then stored (or "lagered") for a period in cool conditions to clear away particles and certain flavour compounds to produce a clean taste. The most popular examples of beer brewed using the lager method are pale lagers, also known as pilsners.

Yes. I believe there is also a lager called Brooklyn Lager and a honey flavoured lager brewed, I think, in Rochester NY. There is also a Californian lager but I can't remember its name.

Sam Adams is the best. Putting baseball aside, I drink both Coors and Sam Adams. I always prefer Sam summer seasonal to Coors' Blue Moon but like both. Sam White Ale (spring seasonal. Means baseball is coming!) happens to be my favorite. Sam Adams has an awesome brewery tour too. Oh, and GO SOX!

Yes absolutely. It's also a particularly good lager.

The term lager comes from the german for storage - doesn't help answer your question but might be interesting!

Good luck
