What religion (if any) would deny the right to declare that it, itself, is bogus? Would that denial deny freedom of religion?

Yes it would. They should remove "under God" from the pledge. The founding fathers never would have gone for that.

The issue isn't "freedom of worship," as that is a Constitutional guarantee. The issue, for the rest of us, is "freedom FROM worship." "Under God" was added to the Pledge of Allegiance in the 1950s, during the first Big Red Scare (the second Big Red Scare was during the Reagan years, when that grinning dope spent eight years baiting the Russians in the hopes they could hold Armageddon). Personally it offends me, and I never say it when I take the Pledge. If you want to say it, fine, but forcing me to say it violates my rights.

I do not, under any circumstances, include the words "under god" when I say the pledge of allegiance.

It wasn't in there when the Pledge was first introduced, and it never should have been added.
