Your other answers give you reasons why Christians should or should not patronise you. However you might benefit from actually discovering what it is that you believe. To believe not in a belief is a belief -right? You see you might get less patronisation if you are not just anti-Christian but a committed athieist. Commitment is something they are supposed to understand.

Perhaps it is time for you to take the high moral ground - its irrefutable you know. You might discover that you are actually an antitheist (no religion needed) humanist (goodness resides in people without religion) athieist (there is no god or gods). Its up to you but you can only have the high moral ground with a strong belief - what ever that belief.

Remember you can only be put down if you believe you should be. All the best on your journey of discovery.

I'm not sure, but I believe it states throughout the Bible that Christians are to share their faith with non-believers. As much of the Bible is, perhaps that too has been misinterpretted or misunderstood to mean that rather than demonstrating the benefits of a personal relationship with God through action, Christians must try effortlessly to convince the rest of us that the Bible is true, that Jesus came to Earth and will come again, and that if you believe you'll go to heaven and if you don't you'll go to hell. The most influencial Christians in my life aren't my minister grandfather or my cousin that went to Bible college. They were my neighbor who said hello every morning, the gal in teh office who always wore a smile, and the stranger in the grocery store who let me cut in line.

Like the apostles in Acts 5;28,29 who were commanded by the religious leaders (and now by the unbelievers) not to teach about Jesus we quote: 'We ought to obey God rather than men..' There is a higher wisdom in God that men find patronising. The word in Psalm 14:1 "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'"

True Christians know that God doesn't want us to judge others. He merely wants us to educate you and tell you of the wonderful things that he has done for us. We only hope that you find the truth and love of God before you are taken from this earth. None of us need to patronize unbelievers only try to lead you in the right direction. Alot of unbelievers take this as being patronizing however it isn't. We are only doing what God asks us to.

I sure hope so.

Even if it is done to us, we are supposed to turn a cheek or shake the dust from our feet and move on.

Speak in love or not at all.

Sorry if I ever hurt u.

Blessings in 2007,

Did you mean your religion is other than Christianity or that you don't believe in God? If its the latter, what are you doing in the R&S section?
