nonetheless its one of the many places where you can meet new and eligible people. :)

Quite possible. I don't see anything wrong with it... although it is a strange way to try and find your true love.
Personally, I havent' had any luck finding women to date on the internet. Most of the women who are looking for men on the internet in the first place are a very specific brand. I find, that most of the time they are seeking some "ideal" man that they see on the TV. The cute indie rocker boy who looks like Ashton Krutcher. The mid-30's successful business guy who drives a BMW to work. The internet dating world is full of people who are looking for the highest standards... which is exactly why they're single to begin with and given up on reality and turn to the net (not ALL tho, just MOST).
The problem with meeting someone on the internet is....
On the internet, you don't have a chance to get the first impression in REAL time, with the real person. That's when you get to see this person's soul, and laugh with them. It's then that a guy, like me, who isn't rich, a rocker, or looks like Ashton Kutcher, can meet a woman.
My mind and soul can't be seen or felt on the internet.
Yet again, not all people on the 'net are like that (but so far my experience has proven it). A lot of people can instantly look up someone they deem "ideal" and find them right away.
So i think it can work... but it's just saturated with people who won't let it work... just like in real life.

As much chance as anywhere else - there are people out there in this world who are right for us - it just depends how and where and when you meet up with one of these people - could be on the net, could be down the street, could be in a bar, could be at the mall - Love can come at any time, anywhere, and if it is your destiny to find your soulmate on the net, then that's how it was meant to be - otherwise, you won't meet him or her there!

You can have fun, and maybe meet someone, and maybe it will lead to something, but I think if you go looking for love, you won't find it.
