okay, i was walking around my house and i noticed that a my cat (about 4 or 5 months old) had gone poop in the litter box. I went to cover it up and then for some odd reason i noticed these strange whiteish wormy things, looked kinda like magets and they just starting twisting and coming out of the poop i think. What should i do?

Hi Mike...sounds like your kitty has tapeworms and will need to be dewormed. Consider ringing your vet to schedule an appointment to have your kitten dewormed.

Take your cat to the vet to get de-wormed ASAP. Describe the worms so the vet knows what dewormer to use. If the worms are manifesting themsleves in the cat's poop then you can be sure there is A LOT of them in the intestines - potentially life-threatening. Its always a good idea to deworm kittens as they get them from their mom's milk (if mom is infected).

Your kitty has tape worms. She has ingested a flea or an egg of the flea. She needs to be treated with Advantage or Frontline or Revolution to rid her of the fleas and keep them off of her, and dewormed. Deworming is normally done with a vet prescribed drug, Drontal, you give one pill then two weeks later give a second pill. Very normal condition and very easily treated.

You can buy deworming medicine at Wal-mart in the pet deptartment, not expensive and really works. I have used this on my many furry friends and yes it does work, and comes with easy direction on when to give the medicine. Best Wishes and Happy New Year.

Take your kitten to the vet and have him dewormed. It's common for kittens ang puppies to have worms. Make sure a vet does it because he is so young. If you do it yourself, you could harm him.
