I heard that Pat Robertson prophecies the USA would have a major attack on its major cities in the second half of 2007? But if he is wrong? Wouldn’t that make him a false prophet and make more none believers have a stronger hatred for Christians? I don't like people who prophesy and are shown false, when in some cases they claim prophecy for their own gain, even god and Jesus don't like false prophets. I know there are true prophets? Where they are and who they are not always known, but when one speaks on TV, accountabilty is effected. What’s your opinion?

Please no haters of Christians to answer.
If you hate us then you really don’t understand why I am upset at all.
I love Christ & god the father and cant wait for his return, but I don’t like those who claim for their own gain and the ones that end up hurt are the true Christian believers and those who are trying to understand the Christian walk. Tragedy will happen; bible says so, when only god and Jesus know that answer.

Angel,
this is a subject many christians are interested in and I can see that it has affected you as well. As a christian also, I want to just say that the bible does indeed teach that God can and does give spontaneous words of prophecy to believers (notwithstanding that the word "prophecy" has multiple definitions in the original greek). What I think is important for us all to remember, Angel is that this is biblical teaching and that it remains true even if 99.9% of all "prophets" are shown to be false. And even if Pat Robertson has been false before it is no reason to show that God will never speak through him. I'm saying all of this for one reason, and that is to encourage you / all christians that our faith can never stand on men, but on Christ alone and our relationship with God should not be affected by the prophecies of others, be they true or false. What matters is where you are with Christ and Pat Robertson can never change that no matter how many prophecies he gives and no matter how many of them are right or wrong. This is the attitude we need to have as christians...to be self-sustaining in our faith, not dependant on the faith of others. It is true that there are times when we need the faith of others to lift us up, but Pat Robertson isn't playing the role in our lives. He's just saying what he thinks...who cares about his intentions? A God-fearing person isn't concerned with what/how others are abusing the faith. God is still in control, and nothing happens without his permission. Believe that and it doesn't matter anymore what Pat Robertson says. If he's right nothing changes. If he's wrong nothing changes. God is still God.

I hope this helps a little,
blessings to all

This is exactly why Jonah didn't want to deliver his prphetic word to Ninevah. He knew that the people would turn and repent and that they would not be destroyed. He was afraid that he would be accused as a false prophet and be stoned. But in trying to avoid it he got into a lot of trouble with both man and God. In the end he delivered the prophesy and Niniveh did repent and God spared them. Perhaps Pat Robertson is obeying God, despite what any person says or believes. One thing for certain is that if the prophesy does not happen it will only prove that he is human like the rest of us, and at times we make mistakes. And it is God who deals with false prophets, and His children.

There are no more prophecies past Revelation. As far as Pat R. He seems to get a little carried away at times.

Personally I just watch the news and see how much the world hates us and I could easily say " I see an attack coming". got a 50/50 shot at it too.

in Christ,
have a great day :)
