My experience has been that there are not a lot of interesting, single gentelmen in their early 60's up for grabs. But there are some out there. Some good places to meet men are:
Book clubs
Theatre Groups
Church
Volunteer Groups (like habitat for humanity)
Dance Classes/Ballroom Dancing (but there are usually more woman than men at these dance places)
And - I know a lot of people are down on it - but meeting people on the internet cuts out a lot of time. You can state the criteria and cut through the muck. I know two happily married couples who met on Match.com

Find a prominent local chiropractor, dress like you want to impress and start visiting his office for back therapy. Most of the guys that go to chiropractic services are there to cure the results of a wild young adulthood, and the pains of that period begin to surface around 40 or so...you might have to sacrifice a year or two in either direction, but you'll get someone around that age, give or take, if you look hungry enough.

Im not anywhere close to that age but i might have some suggestions,try friends, if your close to that age then you got to have friends your age that know guys, think of a friends husband and all his guy friends. Also old dudes like golf, you can try that too.

After that, get a home based business going and look for the singles who made it big.
Referrals from friends too.
