love is self sacrifice, and an action word. A feeling of devotion... something that develops over time...
Infatuation is object of extravagant, like a short-lived passion... puppy love... love at first sight...
most people don't know what true love is... we say "I love this restaurant!" "I love CSI" "I love Cheetos" " I love chocolate" "I love my Prada hand bag"
True love seems to have gotten lost...

I think being in love is very rare and that very few people actually mean it when they say they are in love. There's a difference between loving someone and being in love with someone.
Being in love with someone is looking at them and seeing your future, or looking into their eyes and seeing nothing but love. In some cases it may even be like the song "When You Say Nothing At All." Some couples can have entire conversations without saying a word and that, to me, is amazing. It goes beyond true love. I believe people like that truly are soulmates. A love that intense can only mean that you are truly in love.
As for how many people really mean it, that most likely will always remain a mystery because no one wants to admit they love their significant other but they aren't in love with them because they don't want to lose their relationship or hurt the other person.

Love depends upon the person's concept of love and their degree of committment. I am in love with all my family as family, my friends as friends, but I love them for what they are and too many people are in love because of what the other person does for them.
To love someone for sexual satisfaction, as many do is not really love, nor is loving someone simply becaue they are part of your life. Being in love is giving all that you can to one person more than anyone else in your life and receiving the same from them; in return, so the answer to your question is that too many mistake sexual happiness or lack of lonliness for love and that can never last as long as true love that fulfills each of you. Like the old saying, I love you not for what you are but for what you make me when I am with you!!

For me, being in love is wanting to spend every minute of every day with someone, and never "getting tired" of them.
Few people truly know what love feels like, so few people mean it.

Love is what you feel deep inside...you never talk about it...
What you feel to one another remains in your heart. Person will see from your eyes how deep is your love...
My angel says "do not look at me this way...I get lost...I do not know what to do when I see your emotions through your eyes. It is powerful and very affecting. I scared of you. Because I am becoming you!
