Gotta tell ya--when our Russian Blue female ate egg yolk her farts smelled pretty awful for a day or so. We avoid feeding cats people food anyway. We just feed a good quality dry cat food. When we find a brand of dry food they like we stick with it. I have found this to be best for the cats' digestion overall. I have had cats live viable lives for 22 and 23yrs. Most cats get used to one dry cat food they like and might even get sick if the food is changed. Make any change gradual. In my experience I've found that people food is just not that good for cats. If you must try giving a people food to a cat, try just a little at first and see what happens. And egg yolk raw or cooked? I would cook it, just in case, cats get parasites too. Good luck.

I think the story of a shiny coat is if you wash your cat's fur with raw egg yolks. There is no reason your cat can't have hard boiled yolks or any yolks as long as they are thoroughly cooked. A lot of cat foods have egg product in them. You might want to limit your cat's intake to one yolk a day until you get a feeling for the odor from the cat's output!

Eggs are an excellent source of protein for your cat. But if he gets eggs in the morning, make sure to scale back the amount of regular food he gets so you don't end up with weight control issues further down the road.

I don't think every day is a good idea, and there is a load of information on the net about this, so it would take an age to write down everything, but I came to the conclusion that an egg every now and again is fine, as long as it is extremely fresh, lion-marked so that I know it is salmonella free.

Sure. I've had cats that have eaten them, and dogs that have eaten them, and both that have turned up their noses at them. They are not bad for them, though giving the cat that many a day is likely going to be not the best for him - cholesterol and likely to make him a bit chubby. Maybe one or two yolks a day for him instead.

WHY do you eat so many eggs? They give you gas! Don't give them to your cat, no matter how much they like scarps! Okay, maybe once a month or once every other wek. Mix it with rice and cat food, it works the best. We do it to our cat and both our dogs.

Of course. My cat has a fried egg on top of her usual dried cat food every morning.

Yes you can feed them yolks, if they were in the wild they would be stealing bird eggs you know. They are carnivores its good for them

maybe a bit, but not all that. a cat is way smaller than you and they can have bad cholesterol like everyone else. dont do that, you'll only hurt it in later years.
